Let YEREVAN. – Let’s that the wording of the roadmap I published is the following: approval of the armed forces reform program and launch of reforms. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet session of the government of Armenia.

"In recent months, we have had intensive discussions on this topic, reached some preliminary conclusions and, in fact, formulated an agenda on how and in what formats the reform of the armed forces should be carried out.

Today, I intend to sign a decision to set up a working group headed by the Minister of Defense, which will implement the forming of the timeframe of the roadmap for the armed forces reform concept.

I would like to especially emphasize that in this process, we intend to establish even closer cooperation with our number one security partner: the Russian Federation. We are convinced that as a result of this process, this cooperation will become more effective in the field of security, the field of military cooperation, and the field of military and technical cooperation.

I hope that we will make at least most of this conceptual work a reality by the date the roadmap is finalized, and we will start the implementation of the agreements reached, the implementation of the decisions," Pashinyan added.
