An Israeli-owned cargo ship, damaged by a mysterious explosion in the Gulf of Oman, arrived at Dubai port for repairs, days after the explosion, which raised concerns over waterway security in the Middle East amid escalating tensions with Iran.

According to the Associated Press, although the crew was not injured during the explosion, the vessel had two holes on the port side and two on the starboard side, just above the waterline.

It is still unclear what caused the explosion. The vessel delivered vehicles to various ports in the Persian Gulf before sailing from the Middle East to Singapore. The explosion occurred as the ship was leaving the Saudi port of Dammam in the Gulf of Oman, forcing it to go to Dubai for verification.

There were reports in the Israeli media that, according to Israel, Iran was behind the explosion.
