Turkey is developing its own hybrid rocket that will be used in a mission to the moon, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank told Anadolu.

According to him, they will visit the facilities of Delta V, which develops unique hybrid engine technologies that are an important part of the mission to the moon. The company was founded in 2016 and has been working on space development since 2017, TASS reported.

In early February, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan presented to the public plans for the development of a national space program, which envisages sending a rocket in 2023, which will have to reach the lunar surface. According to the Turkish leader, a hard landing on the moon should be carried out by the 100th anniversary of the republic, which will be celebrated at the end of 2023.
