Head of the Anti-Smuggling Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Vardan Vardanyan today received Head of the Regional Office of the Bureau of the Fight against Illicit Circulation of Narcotics at the US Department of Justice Jennifer Swider.

Vardanyan thanked his US counterparts for the equipment provided to his Department and stated that the equipment is already being used to counter smuggling of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

The parties discussed issues on cooperation, as well as several issues related to the reforms to be made at the Dog Expertise Center of the State Revenue Committee through cooperation with the Bureau. They also reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of cooperation, which was supposed to be signed last year, but was postponed due to the pandemic.
