Americans who are vaccinated against the coronavirus can be in the same room as other people who also have been vaccinated—without wearing a face mask and without following the rules of social distance. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced this, presenting new respective recommendations.

The recommendations are designed to meet the growing demand as more American adults get vaccinated against COVID-19, and they wonder if it gives them more freedom to visit family members, travel, or do other things than they did before the pandemic.

We know people want to be vaccinated so they can get back to their fun activities with their loved ones, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC Director.

But the CDC advises vaccinated people to continue wearing face masks, avoid crowding, and stay physically far from others in society. The CDC also recommends that vaccinated people undergo a coronavirus test if they have symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.
