YEREVAN. – Sweden attaches importance to the development of bilateral relations with Armenia. The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde stated about this during a briefing Tuesday in Yerevan.

She noted that the aforesaid was manifested by the increase of the level of the diplomatic representative and the appointment of a resident ambassador.

Linde assured that she is impressed with the democratic reforms in Armenia, especially after 2018. However, she added that in recent weeks, everyone has seen how fragile progress can be. In this regard, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office called on all parties to resolve the issue peacefully, respect democratic processes and the rule of law in accordance with their commitments to the OSCE.
