Friday’s First Republic Day event organized at the Sardarapat Memorial of Armenia was held under very modest conditions and lasted a very short time.

From high-ranking state officials, only acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Armen Sarkissian, and National Assembly speaker Ararat Mirzoyan attended this event.

They laid flowers at the memorial, after which the foreign ambassadors also laid flowers, thus concluding the event.

Pashinyan did not even deliver an address.

Members of the government and MPs did not attend the event.
