At around 9:30am on Sunday, the 911 emergency hotline of Armenia received a call informing that a woman's dead body was found in Yerevan Lake, and rescuers' help was needed to remove it from the lake, shamshyan.com reported.

The rescue service frogmen who were dispatched to the scene took the body out of the lake.

The body was half-decomposed.

A report on the incident is being prepared.

An investigation is underway.

A forensic medical examination was ordered.

The police are trying to find out the identity of this woman.
