A magnitude 5.2 earthquake shook the Greek island of Crete on Tuesday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported.

The epicenter was reported 18 kilometers southeast of Heraklion, with a population of about 137 thousand.

The source of the quake was at a depth of 2 km.

No casualties or damage have been reported.
