Lilit Makunts, the Ambassador of Armenia to the US, on Thursday held a virtual meeting with Congressman David Valadao (R – California), the Embassy of Armenia in Washington D.C. informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, and in this context emphasized the role of the US Congress.

Also Ambassador Makunts briefed on the challenges and humanitarian crises followed by the Azerbaijani military aggression against the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

In that regard, Makunts thanked Congressman Valadao for raising the above-mentioned issues, as well as coming up with respective legislative initiatives.
