Judge Anna Danibekyan, who presides over the court session on the criminal case against second President Robert Kocharyan and former deputy prime minister Armen Gevorgyan—who is now an MP from the opposition “Armenia” Faction in the National Assembly—, on Tuesday denied the defense’s motions for her self-recusal.

The judge issued this decision after considering it in the deliberation room. And for that, a 1.5-hour recess had been announced at the court session.

Armen Gevorgyan's lawyer Aleksandr Kochubayev, and Robert Kocharyan's lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan had submitted the aforesaid motions.

This court ruling is not subject to appeal.
