Lebanon has invited Saudi Arabia for talks to mitigate the growing diplomatic scandal caused by the commentaries of a Lebanese minister regarding the war in Yemen.

Late last week, Saudi Arabia gave the Ambassador of Lebanon 48 hours to leave the country, recalled its Ambassador from Beirut and terminated all imports from Lebanon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia declared that the actions come after the ‘offensive’ statements that Information Minister of Lebanon George Kordahi made about the war in Yemen and the impact of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
