European Commissioner for Health Stella Kyriakides said that the rules for crossing EU borders will be changed in the near future due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus, TASS reported.

The winter is going to be very tough, she said in an interview published Thursday with Spanish newspaper La Razon.

According to her, there will be a heavy load on hospitals in December and January.

The European Commissioner added that countries, where less than 80% of the population is vaccinated against covid, will have to take serious measures to contain the infection.
