YEREVAN. – Russian peacekeepers have ensured the safe entry and exit of more than 2,000 people in one day through the checkpoints in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and the Lachin corridor, the press service of the Russian defense ministry reported.
These peacekeepers carry out round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and the ceasefire.
"Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe travel of transit vehicles through control checkpoints. All vehicles are monitored in view of possible provocations, and if necessary, they are inspected," said Vladimir Berkoz, a serviceman of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
