President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was elected Chairman of the Nur Otan party, Kazinform reported.
"By the decision of the extraordinary XXI congress of the party, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was unanimously elected Chairman of the Nur Otan party," the press service of the Akorda News Agency reported.
Earlier the first president Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to elect Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as the party chairman.
