The UAE authorities announced the easing and gradual lifting of coronavirus restrictions for foreign tourists in the country, according to the TourDom information portal.

As Saif Al Dhaheri, the official spokesperson for the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) noted, by February 15, it is planned to remove the requirement for partial occupancy by visitors in shopping and entertainment centers, tourist sites and transport.

Due to the declining COVID-19 infection rate, the UAE is announcing the lifting of restrictions on economic, tourism and entertainment activities by mid-February, he said. The requirements for the use of personal protective equipment and social distancing in the popular Arab country remain unchanged.

The decision to mitigate covid measures was taken by the Ministry of Health, taking into account the improving epidemiological situation in the country and the high rates of vaccination of the population.
