YEREVAN. – Secretary Armen Grigoryan of the Security Council of Armenia had a telephonic conversation with Secretary General Stanislav Zas of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Security Council office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

They discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. In this connection, Grigoryan stressed that there is a border between Armenia and Azerbaijan since the years of the ex-Soviet Union. He added that under the 1991 agreement on establishing the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the two parties have recognized that border, ratified this agreement in their parliaments, and made it an integral part of the legislation of the two countries.

During the telephonic conversation, Grigoryan and Zas conferred also on matters related to Armenia's chairmanship-in-office in the CSTO.
