The uninterrupted link of Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia and the outside world needs to be ensured, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Foreign Minister David Babayan stated at a meeting in Yerevan—at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

When asked about the chances of building a road bypassing the Lachin corridor, as a result of which several Armenian villages will be under the control of Azerbaijan, the Artsakh FM stressed that the matter of uninterrupted communication is at the focus of the Artsakh authorities.

"There is no final decision, the negotiations continue. We will defend our interests," he noted.

"The uninterrupted link of Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia and the outside world needs to be ensured, and that link cannot be overseen by Azerbaijan. Such a thing will not happen. There were rumors from Azerbaijan about the installation of a checkpoint. That is absolutely unacceptable," David Babayan added.
