Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan received a delegation headed by OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, the press service of the President informed NEWS.am.

Khachaturyan reiterated Armenia's full support for the peaceful and final settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He noted that Armenia has always been in favor of peace in the region. In this context, the President noted the importance of a comprehensive settlement of the conflict in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, highlighting the importance of protecting the fundamental rights of the people of Karabakh.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office Zbigniew Rau in turn stressed the importance of durable peace in the South Caucasus. According to him, the parties to the conflict should, first of all, show more will and political willingness to settle the conflict definitively. He noted that the OSCE will continue to make all efforts to contribute to an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict as well as to stability and peace in the region.
