At least one person was killed in an explosion on Tuesday in Benafula, near the Lebanese city of Saida in the south of the country, and seven people were injured, Al Jazeera reported on its Twitter page.

As a result of the explosion, the municipality building was completely destroyed, and the neighboring building was seriously damaged.

According to Reuters, the explosion occurred near the office associated with the Shiite movement Amal.
