YEREVAN. – The newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Armenia, Janita Abeywickrama Liyanage—whose respective diplomatic residence is in Moscow—presented her credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan Friday

Khachaturyan congratulated the envoy on assuming this post, and wished her fruitful work for the further development of bilateral relations, the Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Ambassador Liyanage, in turn, stressed that she will make every effort to further develop bilateral relations and intensify ties between Armenia and Sri Lanka.

The interlocutors agreed that there is a considerable potential for cooperation between the two countries, especially in tourism, trade, education, culture, science, and high tech.
