There are no accused in the case of the Surmalu market explosion. If there were, the prosecutor's office would have announced it in its message last night. Gor Abrahamyan, Advisor to the Prosecutor General of Armenia, wrote about this on Facebook Wednesday morning.

"Yesterday, Hraparak newspaper asked me about the [criminal] case on the fire that took place in 2021 at the Surmalu shopping center, and I have informed that there is an accused in that case. That is, it is about the presence of an accused in the criminal case launched in relation to the 2021 incident.

I am asking the media outlets that are disseminating this misinformation to remove it. This is not the case where the publicizing of inaccurate information be tolerable," the Prosecutor General’s advisor added.
