In its  Cabinet meeting Thursday, the government of Armenia decided to provide one-time financial assistance to the families of the casualties—including of the one missing person—and to the  injured as a result of the explosion that took place in the Surmalu shopping market in Yerevan on August 14.

Accordingly, a one-time monetary aid in the amount of 3,000,000 drams (approx. $7,178) is expected to be provided for each casualty, and 150,000 (approx. $360)-300,000 (approx. $718) drams for each injured person.

The beneficiaries of this one-time financial aid will be 24 injured persons and the families of 17 casualties.

A total of 55,650,000 drams (approx. $133,150) will be allocated from the Armenian state budget for this one-time financial aid.
