Two of the three persons injured in the collapse of the damaged Surmalu shopping market building in Yerevan Wednesday have received respective medical care and were discharged from hospital, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At 5:45pm on Wednesday, the Armenian national center for crisis management received a report that the Surmalu market building that was damaged—as a result of the fatal explosion there on August 14—had partially collapsed. According to preliminary data, there are three injured who were taken to the hospital.

MES spokesman Hayk Kostanyan told reporters at the scene that on September 2, the Seismic Service had carried out an inspection at the Surmalu market area, a number of problems were recorded, and four departments were informed about it.
