Our demand is the same as 4 months ago, in April, when after Nikol Pashinyan's sordid statement that we could have had the same situation without casualties, we applied to the General Prosecutor's Office for organizing a premeditated massacre, demanding the immediate arrest of Nikol Pashinyan. Naira Melikyan, mother of Hayk Melikyan who died in 44-day war, said this to journalists during today's protest action held by relatives of the killed servicemen.

"We are here today with the same demand. We all know that Artur Davtyan's term expires in the coming days, and we want to give him one last chance to save his honor and that of his family so that the stigma of a traitor will not remain forever on his forehead and his descendants. He will finally make this important decision and thereby stop the continuing disintegration of our state. Davtyan could have made that decision four months ago but unfortunately that didn't happen," said Melikyan.

Asked whether Artur Davtyan has the political and legal courage to decide to detain Nikol Pashinyan, the protester said: "Politically, I don't know, but legally, he has every reason to.

I would like to tell the leaders once again: if you think that you will leave your position and get rid of responsibility, you are very mistaken.

The journalists reminded about the detention of the ex-commander of Artsakh Autonomous Republic Mikayel Arzumanyan. Answering a question whether she sees it as an attempt to calm down the emotions, not to make the resignation demand of Nikol Pashinian heard, the mother of the deceased soldier said: "I cannot say whether it was done deliberately, to frighten the public again, to distract its attention, because there can be different factors here. We are well aware of the M.O. of this government, including in terms of silencing the mouths of people who are willing to speak out and defend their homeland. This is done in order to keep our people in a state of slumber and fear, while they continue to surrender our country.
