Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan received Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossi.

Sanosyan welcomed and highly assessed Grossi's visit to Yerevan and described it as very important, the press service of the IAEA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Grossi said that Armenia attaches great importance to cooperation with the IAEA.

In his turn, Grossi noted the importance of bilateral partnership in the sphere of nuclear security. 

At the meeting, they touched upon the design works for the construction of a new nuclear power unit in Armenia. The Minister presented in detail the large-scale works on equipping the plant and preparatory works for the construction of the new power unit.

The sides also mentioned the importance of training and retraining of young and professional specialists.

Grossi noted that Armenia can always count on IAEA's support.
