Starting on Thursday, the national flag of Armenia will fly on the building of the city hall of Strasbourg, France—and as a sign of solidarity with Armenia and the Armenian people, informed Armenia's Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe (CoE).

Permanent Representative of Armenia to the CoE Ambassador Arman Khachatryan, Strasbourg Mayor Jeanne Barseghian, Strasbourg City Council member Pierre Jakubowicz—the person behind the resolution on supporting Armenia—, and several other guests participated in the flag raising ceremony on Thursday.

This symbolic step was envisioned by the respective resolution unanimously adopted by the Strasbourg City Council on November 7—and which clearly condemns Azerbaijan's military attack on Armenia, calls for the establishment of peace, and envisions support for friendly Armenia.
