The Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities are pursuing a policy to remove Nagorno Karabakh from Azerbaijan and expel Russians from the region behind the backs of the Armenian people, political analyst Argishti Kiviryan told reporters on Wednesday.

He didn't rule out that this situation can last for a long time until there is no result.

In his opinion, the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh State Minister Ruben Vardyanan is frozen, but still on the agenda.

"Baku and Yerevan will not put up with this situation. The Armenian authorities have infected the society with anti-Russian sentiments. This will not lead to anything good, since Russia can be added to the list of Armenia's enemies as a result of these actions. Those who follow the events in Ukraine can attest to what a fierce enemy Russia is. Russia is not going to leave the South Caucasus, and even if it happens, it will be temporary," Kiviryan noted.
