A forensic genetic examination has been ordered to identify the body of the fallen Armenian soldier transferred by Azerbaijan to the Armenian side, and this identification process is ongoing. Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, told Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.
On January 27, Azerbaijan handed over to the Armenian side the body of an Armenian soldier who had died in September 2022, in the direction of Nerkin Hand village of Armenia’s Syunik Province.
After the September 2022 battles, three Armenian servicemen were considered missing, but now two are still missing.
As a result of the Azerbaijani attack on September 13-14 of the year past, the number of casualties from the Armenian side is 224.
