A meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in a narrow format is taking place in Almaty, the Kazinform MIA reports referring to the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

The event is attended by Prime Ministers Alikhan Smailov, Nikol Pashinyan, Roman Golovchenko, Akylbek Japarov and Mikhail Mishustin.

A narrow discussion is planned on the regulation of the EAEU alcohol market, the process of preparing a draft international treaty on the formation of a common gas market, as well as the activities of regional development institutions of the union.

"I am confident that the decisions made will make a significant contribution and give a new impetus to the further development of our integration association," said Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, referring to the partners in the EAEU.
