The Ceyhan terminal for the export of Azerbaijani and Iraqi oil has suspended operations due to the strong earthquake registered in Kahramanmaras Province of Turkey.

The work of the Ceyhan oil terminal has been temporarily stopped due to security reasons, as there are suspicions that the terminal may be damaged due to the earthquake, Sozcu daily reported.

So, the terminal will not operate until relevant studies are conducted.

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, however, is undamaged and continues to operate.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 was recorded in Turkey Monday at 4:17am local time in the Pazarcik region near the city of Kahramanmaras. There were 42 aftershocks, the strongest of which was 6.6 in magnitude. Later, another earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.5, was registered. According to the latest data, the death toll has reached 912, and the number of injured—5,385.
