The number of victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey continues to rise.

According to Turkish Milliyet, the Turkish Health Minister reported 1,651 dead and 11,119 wounded.

On the night of February 6 at 04:17 local time an earthquake with magnitude 7.7 occurred in the Pazarcik area near the Turkish city of Marash. It was followed by dozens of aftershocks and another powerful underground shock in the afternoon of February 6.
