He assured that intensive work is going on, both at the level of the country's leadership and at the level of the contingent command.

According to his assessment, the work is very difficult, it is locked in a lot of factors.

"We are working with all the parties that have something to do with the situation. At the same time, the contingent continues to perform the functions that are assigned to it. The problem is related to a range of issues, including the fulfillment of all the agreements recorded in the trilateral statements (of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan) by the parties," the ambassador added.

A group of Azerbaijanis has been blocking the Stepanakert-Goris road from December 12, 2022, allegedly for environmental reasons, making political demands, and has been blockading 120 thousand people for over two months, creating a humanitarian crisis, including children and the sick. Azerbaijan also periodically cuts off the gas supply to Nagorno-Karabakh.

During a meeting of the UN Security Council, convened on December 21, 2022 at the request of Armenia, there was a call to unblock the Lachin corridor. Despite this, as well as numerous calls by the international community, Azerbaijan's blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh continues.
