At the session of the Armenian government held today, on September 22, a decision was reached to establish a humanitarian station in the vicinity of the Kornidzor settlement, located in the Syunik region. This initiative aims to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. To fund this project, an allocation of 15,911,700 drams will be drawn from the reserve fund of the Armenian government.

The decision's rationale specifies that the station's objectives include coordinating the efforts of international organizations and foreign groups, providing an accurate portrayal of the humanitarian crisis to international and foreign entities, supporting the endeavors of human rights organizations, and facilitating the engagement of international media in activities geared toward reopening the Lachin Corridor and mitigating the humanitarian crisis.

The humanitarian station will serve as a platform for conveying an unfiltered account of the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh to human rights organizations and the global community. It will enable the organization of their visits and the dissemination of real-time information directly from the environment where the humanitarian challenges are most concentrated, with the aim of delivering aid effectively.
