Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will discuss the situation in Ukraine, energy, Greek-Turkish relations and NATO-related issues with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday evening. Greek government spokesman Ioannis Ikonomou said at a briefing.

According to him, the prime minister's agenda for the meeting with Blinken, who will arrive in Athens from Turkey, will include all the main issues that concern Greece and international politics.

As the war in Ukraine continues, energy is an issue that I think is of mutual interest to Greece and therefore to the United States and to Europe. Our country plays a major role not only in our region, but also in Europe in the development of policies to deal with the consequences of the energy crisis. Obviously, this includes our relations with Turkey as well as issues related to NATO, Ikonomou said.

The cabinet representative stressed that when the Greek prime minister meets with the U.S. secretary of state, a country that is a traditional ally of Greece, there is a wide range of issues of common interest.
