Tesla announced a new engineering headquarters in California, according to The Verge.

Historically, Tesla's main headquarters has been located in California since its founding in 2003, but at the beginning of 2021, it moved to Austin, Texas. The reason for this was the conflicts between the head of the company, Elon Musk, and the California authorities.

It is reported that Tesla will occupy an office in Palo Alto, where Hewlett Packard used to be located. Despite uneasy relations with state authorities, one of Tesla's Gigafactories is located in the city of Fremont near San Francisco. The company's other Gigafactories are located in Nevada and New York, as well as Berlin and Shanghai. It is known that California Governor Gavin Newsom welcomed Musk's decision to open a headquarters in the state.
