A Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia visited Kyiv for the first time after the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Ukraine 30 years ago.

The office of the President of Ukraine published a video about the meeting of the President with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, which took place on Sunday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he expects that the meeting will give a new impetus to the further intensification of their mutually beneficial dialogue.

Saudi Arabia takes a neutral position regarding the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Last year, it acted as a mediator in the exchange of prisoners, during which two Americans and five Britons were released.

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, wrote on Telegram that the meeting was a success.

Ukraine will receive real help from Saudi Arabia, he added.

The president's office signed two documents on an aid package of $400 million dollars to Ukraine: $100 million as humanitarian aid and $300 million as oil products, Yermak noted.
