Argentina has recognized the Armenian Genocide since 2006, thus becoming one of the first countries to do so officially. Jorge Taiana, the Minister of Defense of Argentina, noted this on Twitter.
“108 years after that genocide, we continue to hope that there will be recognition, memory and tolerance among the Peoples,” Taiana added.
