There are fundamental issues on which Armenia and Azerbaijan are unable to reach agreement. Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan of Armenia told reporters about this on Monday.

He explained that at the moment there is no agreement with respect to which year's map the process of border delimitation should be carried out, regarding the guarantor’s institution, in terms of the rights and security guarantees of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, and regarding the international dialogue mechanisms between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh.

Kostanyan added that the positions of the parties on these issues are quite far from each other, but the work continues.

"The Armenian side is always ready for meetings—unblocking of [regional] communications, border delimitation and demarcation, as well as discussion of texts within the framework of the topics of the peace treaty. We are interested in achieving results in all these directions," added the Armenian deputy FM.
