Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna has arrived in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.
She posted a photo of Mount Ararat on her X page and wrote: "I am returning to Armenia 5 months after my first visit. Friendship, support and solidarity."
The French minister had informed that she was going to Armenia from Ukraine.
Earlier, during a question-and-answer session in the French parliament, Colonna had announced that France is strengthening cooperation with Armenia in the field of defense.
"We will have a military attaché in Yerevan. Soon, we will also open a consulate in Syunik province, in the border area," Catherine Colonna had said.
She is expected to meet with Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and together with Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh.
