The Kremlin regrets that Armenia will not participate in the high-level CSTO summit in Minsk on Thursday, but hopes that Yerevan will continue working within the framework of this organization. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, informed reporters about this, according to RIA Novosti.

It became known Tuesday that the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan,, will not participate in the CSTO summit to be held in Belarusian capital Minsk. And the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, in a telephone conversation earlier with his Belarusian counterpart, Sergei Aleinik, had informed that he will not be able to participate in the joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers of Defense, and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO scheduled for Wednesday in Minsk.
