Russia continues to take steps to assist Armenia and the Armenians of Karabakh. This was announced Wednesday by the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"This morning, a plane with humanitarian aid previously announced by the Russian government took off and headed for [Armenia’s capital] Yerevan. The 40-ton cargo was formed taking into account the needs of the Armenian side; it includes food and warm clothes... Considering that there were speculations in this regard, I will be even more specific. It’s about blankets, a portable power station. We expect that all this will be useful, as it was formed taking into account the needs of the Armenian side," said Zakharova.

"On November 13, the process of distributing humanitarian goods began on behalf of the Doctor Liza charity foundation named after Elizaveta Glinka. These are household electrical appliances and warm clothes. We welcome the efforts of the Armenian diaspora in Russia, financial assistance was provided by many regional branches of the Union of Armenians [of Russia]," concluded the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry.
