I don't think that Armenia is going to sign a treaty and there is nothing about Karabakh; if they allow such a thing, it will be a big mistake. Samvel Babayan, former Secretary of the Security Council and former defense minister of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), told reporters about this—and after attending Wednesday’s closed meeting of the Inquiry Committee for Studying the Circumstances of the Hostilities Unleashed on September 27, 2020 of the National Assembly of Armenia.

"Today's incumbent authorities say we should return to Artsakh. Now if they return, in what status? That status should be noted in the [peace treaty] document," said Babayan.

Samvel Babayan added that he does not consider the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan possible at this phase.
