Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Samvel Shahramanyan's statement about dissolving the Republic of Artsakh means nothing. Armenia's third President, Serzh Sargsyan, told this to reporters outside a Yerevan court Thursday.
"That is, can the Republic of Armenia be dissolved by someone's statement? The NKR [(Nagorno-Karabakh Republic)] cannot be dissolved by anyone's statement," said Sargsyan.
And reflecting on the Artsakh authorities’ activities in Armenia, the latter's third president said: "First, Artsakh authorities have not been dissolved. Second, everything is expected from these authorities. What does it mean they are dissolving [the Republic of Artsakh]. Let’s suppose they are dissolving. They won't be [in power] forever. Naturally, it depends also a lot on the [Armenian] people [of Artsakh] who were forcibly moved to Armenia. If they don't want to, nothing will be possible to do."
