Aviation security officers at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan on Friday detained Gavar city resident Arzakantsyan, 57, at the airport, shamshyan.com reports.

At around 7:30am on that day, Arzakantsyan was a passenger of the Yerevan-Dubai flight, and 16 bullets of an unknown type of firearm were found in his carry-on bag.

Respective reports were prepared up at the Zvartnots airport department of the Armenian Police, which, as well as Arzakantsyan, were submitted to the Zvartnots airport department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, where criminal proceedings were launched.

To note, Tigran Arzakantsyan is the Chairman of the Strength of the Homeland party of Armenia.
