The year 2024 can become successful for Ukraine only if there are effective changes in the basis of defense. Said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reports Unian.

"From today, a new management team comes to the leadership of the armed forces of Ukraine. I want the vision of the war to be united and our soldiers in Rabotino or Avdiivka and in the General Staff and at the headquarters.

I have had dozens of conversations with commanders at various levels, in particular Brigadier Generals Andrei Ignatov, Mikhail Drapaty, Igor Skibyuk and Colonels Pavel Palisa and Vadim Sukharevsky. All of them are being considered for senior positions in the army and will serve under the most experienced Ukrainian commander. I have appointed Colonel-General Syrsky as commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Zelensky said.
