Russia may at some point create a "sanitary zone" in the neighboring territories in view of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on the Belgorod Region, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said, TASS reports.
"I am not ready now to talk about what, how, and when we should annex. But I do not rule out that, bearing in mind the tragic events taking place today, we will be forced at some point - when we deem it appropriate - to create a certain "sanitary zone" on today's territories subordinated to the Kyiv regime. We will have to create a security zone that will be quite difficult to overcome by using the means of defeat that the enemy is using, primarily, of course, of foreign manufacture," he stressed.
