White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan held a "constructive" meeting on the Gaza settlement with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the results of which he later briefed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House said in a statement.

Following his visit to Saudi Arabia, Sullivan held talks in Jerusalem with Israeli leaders, during which he spoke about "the potential that is now available to Israel as well as to the Palestinian people," VOA writes. He discussed Israel's military operation in Gaza and the need to minimize civilian casualties.

Sullivan reiterated that Israel needs to link its military operations to a political strategy that can ensure the final defeat of Hamas, the release of all hostages, and a better future for Gaza. During the talks, the White House said in a statement Sullivan reiterated the president's position on Rafah.
