YEREVAN. – The results of snow removal activities in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, are unsatisfactory, Yerevan Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan stated during the working consultation held at the City Hall. 

And on Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan’s instructions, the icicles formed on the rooftops of residential and public buildings are continuing to be removed, City Hall Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Also, instructions have been given toward repairing and cleaning the city’s drainage systems.

Head of the Transport Department reported that they have prepared the list of the capital’s sidewalks where vehicles are illegally parked. 

“Prior to the spring we need to start bringing the sidewalks into order, and illegal parking can hamper this to a great extent. So, we must radically eliminate this phenomenon and hand the sidewalks over to our citizens,” Kamo Areyan stressed.
