YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Although the coronavirus, according to official information, has not penetrated into Armenia, it has already disturbed the RA citizens.

Zhoghovurd daily traveled around several Chinese restaurants operating in Yerevan. Although the staff, in conversation with us, insisted there was no problem, Zhoghovurd daily recorded that the restaurants were mostly empty.

Another concern of the RA citizens is related to Chinese equipment. We talked to a VLV [home appliance sales] network representative who said the infection could not penetrate with the refrigerator. Those from the Globbing shipping company also responded with similar confidence. The vast majority of people in Armenian get parcels from China via Globbing.

But in this situation, another reality is worrying. There are no laboratory tests in Armenia to detect the new coronavirus. But Deputy Health Minister Lena Nanushyan thinks there has been no need for [such] tests in Armenia at this time, and in fact, it is not clear when it will be possible to have them.
